Paranoia doesn't exist; complacency does. I've taken my fair share of long walks in bad places. I came to the realization very early in life that most of society live inside a bubble of comfort. They choose not to venture too far from their safe space because they don't want to accept the reality of the world . But for those who do decide to walk into the unknown come to the realization that we don't get second chances, we are the first and final line of defence. Self reliance and preparation stand at the centre of everything I do, because the cold reality is; no one is coming.
Being prepared for a situation that threatens your life or the lives of your loved ones is not merely an option, but a necessity in a world full of uncertainties. It was this realization that sparked the birth of New Zealand Everyday Carry Co. in 2020, amidst the pandemic. I had no idea how to build a website or even navigate a business online, so like everything I do, I dived headfirst into the unknown.
Embracing a Tactical Mindset
At the heart of New Zealand Everyday Carry Co. lies a deeply ingrained philosophy rooted in my personal experiences as a soldier and first responder. I understood the importance of being prepared for any situation very early in life. It was through these experiences that I gained a perspective on the world, shaping how I view it today.

My journey as a first responder highlighted the critical need for individuals to equip themselves with the necessary tools, gear, and training to navigate the challenges life throws at them. All too often, I hear "She'll be right" or "That will never happen to me." This realization formed the bedrock of the company's mission: to empower people to embrace a tactical mindset and live prepared, not in fear or ignorance, but with confidence.

With this mission in mind, I launched NZ Everyday Carry Co. and began catering to the needs of like-minded people across the country. Very quickly, the website became a digital haven, showcasing EDC equipment from various renowned brands. Low-vis backpacks, flashlights, multi-tools, knives, and more are part of the selection that forms the foundation to cater to every individual's EDC needs and preferences.
